Nechama Leah is a classically trained Opera singer turned pop singer/songwriter and international voice teacher. She has a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance and has extensive voice teacher training from Modern Vocal Training and Institute for Vocal Advancement.

She is a Jewish convert and feels blessed and excited to merge her "past life" of professional performance experience with the beauty of Judaism and its rich musical tradition.

What this "not-really-a-choir" is all about

Improving Your Voice

This group is for women who love to sing but regular voice lessons aren't really in the cards right now. You'll learn some vocal technique, train your musical ear, and get good at singing harmonies. You'll sing solos on some songs, harmony and background on others. We'll all support each others' vocal journey.

Having Fun

Tiferet is about beauty and balance. Jewish women are busy and often overwhelmed, and singing can help you bring more balance and beauty into your week. We'll sing songs that are fun, beautiful, and inspirational. There's nothing quite like the feeling of creating music together. It's your time to do something you love.

Sharing Your Talent

Just because you don't want to be the next Bracha Jaffe, doesn't mean you shouldn't have a space to share your gift. The group will give you the chance to perform and build confidence. You'll finally get to sing somewhere outside your kitchen, while building community with other creative women.

Session: October — March (performance before Purim)

Rehearsals: Weekly 1-hour meetings in RBSA (day TBD)

Repertoire: Jewish and "clean" contemporary music

Cost: 250₪/month or 1400₪ advance payment for session (100₪ savings)

*Auditions will be held September 12th at 11:00 AM.
